Happy April! We are celebrating the success of a sold-out April flowers art activity day last Saturday. Thank you to everyone who came out to bring on Spring with that special activity.
Speaking of activities, I invite you to check out our
2021 Annual Report fresh off the press. 2021 was a fantastically productive and fun year at the museum, and 2022 is shaping up to be even more so.
Later this month, we are opening
Primordial Shift and the Art of Michael Meilahn, A Retrospective featuring Wisconsin-based and internationally known glass artist Michael (Mick) Meilahn. This exhibition tracks his artist trajectory from the 1970s to the present day, spanning three galleries within the museum. Serving as his retrospective, at the core of the exhibition is an immersive multi-media installation – Primordial Shift – that intertwines the artist’s investigation into crop production, genetic food modification, and the ancient history of corn. Beginning with a members’ opening on April 22, the exhibition will be on view through August 21.
Looking ahead a bit, more fun awaits with our first gala, the
Crystal Ball, a crystal-inspired extravaganza centered on love and friendship. Come join us on May 7
th from 7-11 pm for a fantastic evening of dancing and dining with naughty and nice amusements. So come be active with us this Spring!
