Executive Director’s Message

It’s “Our Time to Shine”!

I am delighted to announce the successful completion of our museum renovations and related campaign that enhances our mission, engagement, accessibility, and visitor experience for more than 32,500 annual visitors and glass enthusiasts.

These thoughtfully planned improvements were long overdue — neither the museum’s galleries nor its accessibility have been updated in nearly 35 years. The transformational renovation maintained the museum’s historical importance, vintage character, and charm, while integrating modern enhancements focused on technology, accessibility, and elevating visitors’ experience.

The response to our campaign from the community was overwhelming.  Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass is honored to present our newly upgraded galleries and public spaces with our profound thanks to the public for supporting our renovations. With your generosity and support, it’s now our time and yours to shine!

Come see the new exhibition “Our Time to Shine” spanning three galleries and highlighting recent and new acquisitions to the permanent collection, many given in honor of the Museum’s renovations.

Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass wishes to thank Miron Construction (construction and naming partner), Community First Credit Union (lending and naming partner), Gordon Park (naming partner), Bergstrom Automotive Family (naming partner), Robert and Kathleen Brost (naming partner), Jewelers Mutual (naming partner), the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration Non-State Grant Program for Local Projects, Fox Cities Visitor & Convention Bureau Tourism Grant Program and over seventy foundations and individuals for supporting the “Our Time to Shine” renovation project.

Please come by and view our new public spaces and galleries, take a glass class, enjoy our yoga on the lawn program, and see all the glassy gifts in the Museum shop this summer!

See you in the galleries!

Kindly,

Amy G. Moorefield
Executive Director
