Fused by Numbers - Women's Collaborative Mural

Sponsored by Kimberly-Clark

“Fused by Numbers” is a free multi-generational community program targeted to women learners of all ages and skill backgrounds. BMMOG is creating a public fused glass mural over multiple learning sessions. Many women and girls have been greatly impacted by the myriad effects of Covid-19. The program provides a much-needed gathering space for women and girls* to learn from each other, develop glass making skills, and build new friendships and community.

After it is completed, the mural will be assembled and displayed for all visitors to see. The community-sourced finished mural will be installed in the BMMOG as an entrance to our renowned Glass Studio. We will have an opening reception held at a later date.

Our audience for this program is comprised of girls* and women of all social-economic backgrounds who have been isolated by the pandemic and who reside in the Fox Cities.

Go here to see the biographies of the local women depicted in the mural.

Please note that the fused glass piece created will be part of a greater collaborative mural that will be owned by Bergstrom-Mahler of Museum of Glass, not the workshop participant.

*Program recommended for girls 5 and older. Any girl under 8 years of age will need to collaborate with an adult on their designated square.

Registration is requested a week before the given date at bmmglass.com
