Art Activity Day – Snowflake Sun Catcher

Create a window hanging to admire while looking out to a snowy afternoon. One snowflake, and hoops are provided.
Drop in anytime between 10am and 1pm. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Projects are $15 each.

This is a drop-in activity. You do not need to register. Please pay at the event.

  2. Look closely at pictures of some art, decide what you like and share your ideas.
  3. Create a piece of art on paper, poster board, or canvas.
  4. Draw or create an art piece using shapes.

 Wolf Elective Adventure: Collections & Hobbies     

3A.   Visit a show or museum that displays different collections or models.

Appropriate for all ages.  Scouts must be accompanied by leaders and/or parent chaperones. Adult/ scout ratios required by the BSA are required for all clinics. (Adults may participate for the same fee if space allows. Please call in advance.)

Introduction to Glass Beadmaking

Basic bead making techniques will be covered in this three hour introductory class. Learn about safe and proper handling of equipment, tools, and materials. You will learn how to pull stringers, layer color, and apply surface decoration. By the end of the class, you will have created several of your own glass beads.
Level: Beginner.  Ages 16 and up or at least 13 and must be accompanied by an adult.

Stringers and Line Art in Glass

You will learn creative techniques for incorporating stringers (long, skinny pieces of glass) into a glass piece. Lines, one of the basic elements of art, can be added to fused glass art in several ways. You will bend stringers  in candle flames, and add them to the front or back of a fused glass piece you will create. All experience levels welcome.

Frit Slurry Painting

Metal Clay and Glass Jewelry

Create a beautiful pendant combining silver metal clay and glass. The basics of working with precious metal clay will be introduced , including shaping, texturing, drying, kiln firing, and finishing. Students will shape silver clay to create a setting for a piece of fused dichroic glass.
