“Why Do Birds Sing?” Presented by Lauren Riters 10/19
University of Wisconsin Madison Professor Lauren Riters presents, “Why Do Birds Sing?”
Scientists have known how birds sing for decades but why they sing is still a puzzle. Do they sing for pleasure? For love? To mark a territory? And how do birds know when and what to sing? This talk will explore these questions and also address what birds learn by listening to songs. Admission is FREE, but registration is required. The lecture will be held at the museum, please stop by the front desk to check-in. We look forward to seeing you there!
