Spring “Art Abilities” Workshop and Tour
ART ABILITIES WORKSHOPS are designed around the needs of adults living with disabilities to give them access to the arts and the creation of art.
Spring “Art Abilities” Workshop and Tour:
Tour the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass and then create your own glass art piece!
Welcome, Springtime in Wisconsin by making your own suncatcher out of glass. Use your imagination to create a one-of-a-kind glass art piece to hang in a window, give to a loved one, or brighten up your space.
This class is designed for aspiring, adult, glass artists living with disabilities in the Fox Cities area. The event includes a 30-minute museum tour, and a 90-minute glass art project.
2:00 – 2:30 pm: Museum tour with a docent (everyone welcome)
2:30 – 4:00 pm: Glass-making workshop (students and support assistants welcome)
IMPORTANT ABILITIES NOTE:
Please arrive early if you need extra time, the tour will start promptly at 2:00 pm. We welcome all aids, assistants, and support personnel to accompany students, at no cost, but due to limited class space, we ask that non-essential escorts and drivers please enjoy the museum collection during class. Also, please inform the museum staff at 920-751-4658 ahead of the event date if special requirements or adaptations are needed from the museum for your attendee. (I.e. The museum has an elevator and one (1) wheelchair for public use)
