The Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass will resume normal hours and activities on Wednesday, October 13, after a four-day suspension of operations due to a breakthrough Covid-19 exposure.
“In consultation with our Board of Directors, we thought a temporary closure was the prudent and responsible action to take to allow all of our employees and volunteers time to get tested to not only safeguard themselves and their families, but also our museum community and the public at large,” said Amy Moorefield, the museum’s Executive Director. “We’re so glad that testing has shown no additional spread and we’re excited to be open to the public again,” Moorefield continues.
The museum galleries, The Museum Shop, and The Glass Studio will all begin normal hours and activities on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am. Please check for updates on the museum’s WEBSITE and social media.
The popular October Art Activity Day project has been recreated as a take-home kit that the public can purchase on the museum’s website HERE.
BMMOG has and will continue to use all Center for Disease Control and Wisconsin Department of Health Services recommended masking and vaccination guidelines to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, and visitors. Protective masking is required inside the museum at all times.
