Accreditation/Affiliations

Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass has the distinction of being accredited by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM). The honor of accreditation means Bergstrom-Mahler Museum meets the rigorous standards of professionalism and best practices for museums set forth by AAM.

The museum is also an active member of Wisconsin Federation of Museums. Wisconsin Federation of Museums (WFM) Membership is open to all museums professionals, volunteers, and those interested in pursuing a career in museums. WFM Member Institutions often participate in regional and statewide activities, such as the annual meeting, roundtables, workshops and lectures and promote museums throughout Wisconsin.

In addition, Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass is a member of the Association of Midwest Museums and the American Association of State and Local History  and Arts Wisconsin.

Glass Organizations

Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass is also a member of the Paperweight Collector’s Association, Inc. (PCA). The mission of the PCA is to promote education: to increase knowledge about paperweights, their creators, and the astounding glass medium from which they are created.

The museum is also a member of the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass (AACG).  AACG is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to further the development and appreciation of art made from glass. In addition, the museum is a member of the Midwest Contemporary Art Glass Group as well as the Glass Art Society.
